Structural Osteopathy

Offering a variety of gentle structural techniques to reduce acute and chronic pain symptoms, address postural imbalances, and aid rehabilitation from injury. Structural  techniques lubricate stiff joints to improve mobility, restore blood flow and neurologic supply to impoverished regions, and can improve the body's response to stress related illness.

The techniques applied can include; joint articulation, joint manipulation, joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques to increase joint mobility and improve muscle tone, direct and indirect muscle relaxation techniques, ligamentous techniques, and fascial techniques.

Visceral Osteopathy

Visceral Osteopathy is used to locate and solve problems throughout the body. It encourages your own natural mechanisms to improve the functioning of your organs, dissipate the negative effects of stress, and enhance general health and resistance to disease.

Visceral Osteopathy is based on the specific placement of soft manual forces to encourage the normal mobility, tone and motion of the viscera and their connective tissues. These gentle manipulations can potentially improve the functioning of individual organs, the systems the organs function within, and the structural integrity of the entire body.

Cranial Osteopathy

Is a gentle technique that can be safely used on anyone - from newborns through the entire spectrum of life. Cranial osteopathy acknowledges the spiritual, emotional, and physical elements of a patient. The treatment, although seemingly very gentle, can be incredibily profound.

Cranial osteopathy is especially appropriate for patients suffering from trauma to the head and body, or long standing chronic condtions, hormonal imbalances, digestive complaints, and stress related conditions.

Osteopathy and Pregnancy

Osteopathic treatment during pregnancy can help prevent or ease conditions such as joint swelling where the fluids are not draining, dizziness, shortness of breath and rib pain, back pain, and pubic pain resulting from postural changes.
